Una scala che divide in due un’ampia zona giorno diventa l’occasione per ripensare gli spazi del living. Una nuova “tenda”, realizzata con assi in legno laccato e dettagli in ferro nero, funge da gelosia tra corridoio, scala e zona giorno: si chiude sotto la scala e si apre in corrispondenza del passaggio verso la cucina, su uno sfondo neutro con porte a filo muro. Una porzione di soffitto rivestita in ferro nero nasconde gli impianti, che si sviluppano nell’unità abitativa con dettagli coordinati ai mobili di serie, anch’essi neri. La cucina, con finiture in ceramica e legno laccato, è composta esclusivamente da mobili a scomparsa, come tutti gli altri arredi dell’unità abitativa.
A staircase dividing a large living area becomes an opportunity to rethink the layout of the space. A new “screen,” made of lacquered wood slats with black steel details, serves as a partition between the corridor, staircase, and living area: it closes beneath the staircase and opens at the passage to the kitchen, set against a neutral backdrop with flush doors. A section of the ceiling, clad in black steel, conceals the building systems, which extend throughout the unit with details coordinated to the standard black furnishings. The kitchen, with ceramic and lacquered wood finishes, consists entirely of concealed storage units, consistent with all other furniture in the apartment.
